Funsports Newsletter

All of us here at Funsports fully appreciate the challenges we are all facing today during these unsettling and unique times. Although we would like nothing more than to be out on the fields playing football right now, we, like all of you, are doing our part to maintain physical distancing during this COVID-19 pandemic and heeding the advice from local, state and federal authorities alike to stay at home as much as possible.  While this means spending more time indoors, we wanted to provide everyone with some suggestions to pass the time, to exercise your mind and body, and to have fun.  To that end, below is a compiled list of activities and resources we wanted to share with you.  Please feel free to share this with friends and family and please share with us and others any resources you may be aware of.  We are a community and will get through this together.  Until then, be well and stay safe!

Tips and Recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) to reduce the risk of exposure and spread of the COVID-19 virus:

  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.
  • Stay home when you are sick.
  • Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds; especially after going to the bathroom, before eating and after blowing your nose, coughing or sneezing. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol. Always wash hands with soap and water if hands are visibly dirty.
  • Maintain a social distance of six feet when interacting with others.
  • Eliminate handshake greetings.
  • If you have a fever, cough or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention.

Stay informed and up to date! The CDC updates their website regularly with recommendations and information. Visit the website at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html.

We look forward to seeing you all on the football fields soon.
